Hurricane Sandy is coming to NYC, and we’ll soon see how big and bad it is. This note was posted on my apartment door yesterday:

And in his address to the city yesterday, Mayor Bloomberg encouraged New Yorkers to pack a go bag and to understand which evacuation zone they live in. 

I’m almost a bit disappointed to discover I don’t live in an evacuation zone — I’m at the placemarker on the map under the “Y” in “New York.”
